Test Engineer

Job Purpose To ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and security of cloud-native products by designing and implementing robust automated testing frameworks. The role focuses on end-to-end automation across applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and network/security layers, enabling faster, safer releases through CI/CD integration and continuous testing practices. Role Description Key Skills & Technical Competencies Key Responsibilities Test Automation & Frameworks • Automation frameworks design • CI/CD & DevOps Integration Cloud & Infrastructure Testing • Public Cloud • Private cloud Networking & Security Testing • TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers • Authentication • Performance & Reliability Testing • AB testing Observability & Debugging • Logs Containers & Modern Platforms • Docker, Kubernetes Collaboration & Agile Delivery • Agile/S Quality Engineering & Continuous Improvement • Test • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks • Build automated test scenarios for UI, API, and end-to-end workflows • Ensure complete portal testing with real user scenarios • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines • Enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops • Support release automation and quality gates • Validate cloud-based services and deployments • Perform testing across distributed and scalable environments • Ensure infrastructure stability and availability • Validate networking components and configurations • Perform security-focused testing for authentication, access control, and data protection • Identify vulnerabilities and risks • Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system scalability • Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements • Monitor test execution results and system behavior • Analyze logs and metrics to identify issues • Report defects and track resolution lifecycle • Test containerized applications and microservices • Validate deployments in Kubernetes environments • Work closely with developers, architects, and product teams • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and quality assessments • Improve automation coverage and efficiency • Define and track quality metrics Continuously enhance testing processes Experience & Educational Requirements Qualifications and Experience EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required) BE/B-Tech or equivalent with Computer Science or Electronics & Communication RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) • 3–7 years of experience in test automation and quality engineering • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript • Hands-on experience with automation tools: • Selenium, Playwright, Cypress • REST Assured (API automation) • Experience in API testing, UI testing, and end-to-end automation • Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) • Experience testing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud) • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing) • Basic understanding of security testing (authentication, authorization, encryption) • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments • Experience in fully automated end-to-end portal testing and user scenarios
