Custom Software Engineer - Spring Boot

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with modern development frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with team members and continuous refinement of solutions to adapt to evolving project needs are integral parts of the daily routine. Roles & Responsibilities: - Strong hands-on experience in Java 8+, OOP, Collections, Streams, Functional Interfaces, Multithreading, Executor Framework, Concurrent HashMap, JVM basics.- Solid expertise in Spring Boot (Actuator, Profiles, MVC, AOP, Security, Batch).- Ability to build & consume REST APIs, handle validations, exception handling, idempotent requests.- Good knowledge of Microservices architecture (service registry, API gateway, circuit breaker, JWT security, client/server-side load balancing).- Experience with Messaging systems Kafka (Pub-Sub & PTP concepts).- Proficiency in Unit Testing with JUnit/Mockito and enforcing test quality.- Strong understanding of SQL & NoSQL (joins, indexes, sharding, ACID, tuning).- Hands-on with JPA/Hibernate, entity lifecycle, transactions.- Knowledge of caching (Redis or in-memory), eviction strategies.- Familiarity with Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, Kubernetes & CI/CD pipelines.- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize APIs/queries.Professional & Technical Skills: - Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Spring Boot.- Strong communication, clarity in explanation.- Problem-solving mindset; ability to work under pressure.- Ownership, task management, collaboration and self-learning attitude.- Experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.- Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration tools.- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.- Experience with database integration and query optimization. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Spring Boot.- This position is based at our Chennai office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
