Oracle EPM Cloud Technical Consultant Job DescriptionJob Overview - JR Number: 871383 - Position Title: Oracle EPM Cloud Technical Consultant (Planning / EPBCS) - Grade / Level: P3 Grade - Experience Required: 5+ years (3–6 years of relevant EPM Cloud technical experience preferred) - Location: PAN India - Employment Type: Contract - Contract Duration: 6 Months - Client Interview: Required - Work Shift: Standard (with potential alignment based on project needs) Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Cloud Technical Consultant with hands-on expertise in EPM Planning (EPBCS) technical components, including Forms, Business Rules, Groovy Calculations, Reports, Data Maps, Data Management, and application artifact migrations. The successful candidate will support implementations, change requests, and/or Application Management Services (AMS) operations while adhering to strong documentation and governance practices. Key Responsibilities 1. EPM Planning (EPBCS) Technical Configuration - Build and enhance Web Forms, including form design, user prompts, validations, and usability improvements. - Develop and optimize Business Rules and calculation scripts, including Groovy rules and planner rule templates. - Configure Data Maps and support the movement of data across cubes, scenarios, and versions. - Manage and maintain metadata updates, dimensions, members, and hierarchies aligned with functional designs. 2. Reporting & Analytics - Develop and support Smart View reports, templates (ad-hoc and formatted), and Financial Reporting artifacts based on project requirements. - Maintain exposure to Narrative Reporting (as applicable). - Ensure reporting outputs are validated with finance stakeholders and thoroughly documented. 3. Data Integration & Loads - Configure and support data loads using Data Management and EPM Data Integration . - Create and maintain import formats, location mappings, data load rules, and validation rules. - Troubleshoot data load errors and propose corrective actions. - Support integrations with source systems (ERP, flat files) and coordinate with integration teams. 4. Environment & Release Management - Support Life Cycle Management (LCM) and migration activities across environments (DEV, UAT, PROD). - Maintain deployment documentation covering artifact migration steps, release notes, and rollback procedures. - Perform technical impact analyses for change requests (CRs) to ensure audit-ready documentation. 5. Testing & Production Support - Support SIT/UAT by preparing technical test cases, assisting with defect fixes, and conducting performance tuning. - Handle production incidents and enhancements in AMS mode, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Knowledge Error Database updates, and Knowledge Transfer (KT) documentation. Required Skills & QualificationsMust-Have Technical Skills - Strong hands-on experience in Oracle EPM Cloud Planning (EPBCS) technical areas (Forms, Business Rules, Calculation Scripts/Groovy, Data Maps). - Solid working knowledge of Smart View , Data Management / EPM Data Integration , and dimension management/metadata concepts. - Comprehensive understanding of Planning concepts (Cubes, scenarios, versions, years, periods, workflows). - Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve rule failures, form issues, data load errors, and security-driven access issues. Good-to-Have Skills - Exposure to other EPM modules such as FCCS , ARCS , or EDMCS . - Familiarity with EPM Automate and basic scripting for automation (PowerShell/Bash preferred). - Understanding of integrations between Oracle ERP Cloud and EPM. - Experience working in an ITIL/AMS support model (handling Incidents, Problems, and Changes).
