Automation Engineer

**Job Description: Automation Engineer (IT/OT Specialist)** **Experience** **:** 6 - 8 Years **Industry** **:** Beverage / Food / Pharma Manufacturing Plant **Position Summary** Candidate should have hands on **IT-OT integration & SCADA (Ignition) Specialist** with 8-10 years of experience in industrial IT systems within FMCG / Beverage manufacturing. The candidate must be capable of independently maintaining **Ignition SCADA architecture, industrial networks, IT-OT communication and OT cybersecurity** , while ensuring compliance with global automation and IT standards. The role requires strong expertise in **Ignition SCADA, Kepware OPC, MongoDB, industrial network architecture and integration with PLC / MES / SAP systems** , along with coordination with Global Automation Teams / OEMs / for solution approvals and implementations. **Key Responsibilities** **IT-OT Automation Architecture & Plant Support (Primary Role)** + Maintain plant-level IT -OT network & **Ignition SCADA architecture** . + Ensure uptime and performance of SCADA Applications, Historian, and OT assigned servers. + Provide Developmental front-end support for: + SCADA visualization + Line monitoring dashboards + OEE data systems + Central command centre systems + Troubleshoot plant-wide: + SCADA application connectivity issues + OPC communication failures + Database latency issues + Network interruptions + Ensure secure integration between IT & OT layers. **Ignition SCADA & Application Management** + Configure and maintain: + Ignition Gateway + Redundancy setup + Perspective & Vision modules + Develop and maintain: + Standardized HMI screen templates + Alarm structures + Tag architecture + UDT structures + Ensure screen design compliance with: + Global automation standards + Cybersecurity guidelines + Corporate HMI design philosophy + Maintain version control and backup procedures. **OPC, Database & Data Management** + Configure and maintain: + Kepware OPC Server + OPC UA communication + Manage and optimize: + MongoDB + SQL Databases + Historian systems + Handle: + Database tuning + Backup & restoration procedures + Data integrity checks + Ensure reliable data exchange between: + PLC + Ignition + SAP / MES + OEE systems **Industrial Network & Infrastructure Management** + Design and implement: + Industrial network architecture + VLAN segmentation + Managed switches configuration + Configure & maintain: + Firewalls (Industrial & IT layer) + Server environments (Windows Server / Virtual Machines) + Domain policies (if applicable) + Ensure compliance with: + Global IT & Automation standards + Cybersecurity policies + Conduct periodic network health assessments. **Global Coordination & Compliance** + Present and obtain approvals for: + New automation or IT-OT solutions + Architecture changes + Cybersecurity upgrades + Ensure alignment with: + Global Automation Standards + Global IT Security Framework + Infrastructure compliance guidelines + Support internal and global audits. + Maintain updated documentation: + Network topology + Server architecture + Firewall rules + Data flow diagrams **Required Skills & Competencies** **Technical Skills** **Proficiency Required** Ignition SCADA (Vision / Perspective) Expert Kepware OPC Server Advanced MongoDB / SQL Database Management Advanced Industrial Network Design Strong Firewall Configuration (IT & OT) Good Windows Server / VM Management Strong Cybersecurity Compliance Strong Global Documentation Standards Strong IT - OT Net Work Architecture & Config Strong **Preferred Experience** + Experience in Beverage / FMCG / Pharma manufacturing environment. + Exposure to plant-wide centralized monitoring systems. + Experience integrating Ignition with Allen-Bradley PLCs. + Knowledge of SAP / MES / OEE integration / Ignition Platform is Must. + Exposure to Industry 4.0 & Unified Namespace (UNS) architecture. **Behavioural Competencies** + Strong system ownership mindset. + Structured documentation approach. + Ability to coordinate with global stakeholders. + High analytical troubleshooting capability. + Strong communication for cross-functional alignment. **Educational Qualification** Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering. **KPIs** + SCADA & Network system uptime 99+% + Intralogistics devices AMR / ASRS / Networking & Automation up time 99+% + Network availability 99+% + Cybersecurity audit compliance score + Data integrity reliability + Zero critical audit observations + Successful global solution approvals Automation, Information Technology (IT) Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Network Systems **Location(s):** India **City/Cities:** Pune **Travel Required:** 00% - 25% **Relocation Provided:** Yes **Job Posting End Date:** August 24, 2026 **Our Purpose and Growth Culture:** We are taking deliberate action to nurture an inclusive culture that is grounded in our company purpose, to refresh the world and make a difference.
