Job Description

Miyamoto International is seeking an AI Specialist with minimum 4 years of experience in professional software engineering (Python) to support and expand AI capabilities across our global teams. This role offers flexibility to work remotely, Pan-India, with Miyamoto offices based globally and specifically in US. Role Description Miyamoto International uses Microsoft Copilot company-wide. We are hiring an AI Specialist to help us get a lot more out of it — and to build the things Copilot cannot do on its own. This is a hands-on role that splits between extending Copilot across every department and building more advanced AI tooling in Python where Copilot falls short — custom agents, retrieval over our own documents, API integrations, and internal automations. You will partner with departments across the firm — engineering, operations, marketing, finance, project teams — to find where AI can meaningfully advance productivity. You will assist with AI training and enablement so adoption keeps pace with the tools. This is not a Copilot-trainer role and not a prompt-engineering role. Coding experience is required. We want someone who is genuinely passionate about AI, follows the field closely, and translates that fluency into working software. What You Will Do Get more out of Copilot. Help teams use Copilot effectively across Microsoft 365 — Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power Automate. Build Copilot-based automations and extensions where they fit. Build advanced AI tooling in Python. When Copilot cannot do the job, you build it: custom agents, retrieval systems over Miyamoto documents, API integrations, internal automations. Partner with departments. Sit with engineering, project, ops, marketing, and finance teams. Identify high-leverage workflows. Design and ship solutions for them. Assist with AI training and enablement. Run pair sessions, write internal documentation, answer questions, help teams adopt new tools well. Stay current. Track Copilot updates and the broader AI ecosystem — Claude, GPT, Cursor, open-source models, agent frameworks. Recommend what we adopt next. Set good habits. Help define responsible AI use across the firm — data handling, vendor selection, internal best practices. Minimum Qualifications 4+ years professional software engineering with Python as a primary language. Hands-on production experience building with LLMs — agents, retrieval, integrations, or internal automations. Code samples or a GitHub portfolio expected. Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot across Microsoft 365 — and a clear view of where it shines and where you need to build custom. Familiarity with the broader AI tooling landscape: Claude, GPT, Cursor, LangChain or equivalents, vector databases, agent frameworks. Active learner. You follow the field — GitHub activity, blog, talks, OSS contributions, or a clear recent point of view. Strong communicator. Comfortable embedding with non-technical departments, running trainings, writing documentation people read. Professional English fluency required. This is not a Copilot-trainer role and not a prompt-engineering role. Coding experience is required. We are looking someone who is genuinely passionate about AI, follows the field closely, and translates that fluency into working software. Bonus Points Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Graph API, or other Microsoft developer tooling. Fine-tuning or evaluating open-source models (Llama, Mistral, Qwen). Prior experience as an internal-tools or developer-experience owner. Domain experience in engineering, AEC, or disaster-risk industries. Company Description Our Structural + MEP engineering team transforms complex design, economic, sustainability, and resilience challenges into opportunities. By providing high-performance engineering expertise, we reduce construction materials, enhance sustainability, and maximize investment value. Our clients benefit from the best of local and global engineering talent, serving sectors such as education, healthcare, civic infrastructure, distribution, life sciences, affordable and market-rate residential, and commercial development.
