SQL Server DBA (Azure Cloud) | 5+ Years | India Night Shift (Aligned with US Business Hours) Location : India Experience : 5+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time ( Preferred: Tamil Nadu candidates only ) Shift: India Night Shift (Supporting US-based Clients) Job Summary We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (Azure Cloud) to manage and support mission-critical SQL Server databases in Azure environments for our US-based clients. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL Server administration, Azure SQL services, performance tuning, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), production support, and incident management. Key Responsibilities - Administer Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 environments. - Manage Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs. - Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, and recovery. - Implement and support Always On Availability Groups, Replication, Log Shipping, and Disaster Recovery. - Monitor and optimize SQL Server performance, queries, indexes, and execution plans. - Troubleshoot production issues, blocking, deadlocks, and database performance bottlenecks. - Handle L2/L3 production support and critical incidents. - Manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow, Jira, or Azure DevOps. - Prepare Weekly Status Reports (WSR), RCA documents, and technical documentation. - Automate routine DBA tasks using T-SQL and PowerShell. - Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams. Required Skills - 5+ years of SQL Server DBA experience. - SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 Administration. - Azure SQL Database & Azure SQL Managed Instance. - SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines. - Performance Tuning & Query Optimization. - Backup, Restore & Disaster Recovery. - Always On Availability Groups. - Database Security & User Management. - SQL Server Agent Jobs. - PowerShell or T-SQL Scripting. - Azure Monitor & Log Analytics. - Production Support (L2/L3). - Ticket Handling (ServiceNow/Jira/Azure DevOps). - Weekly Reporting & Documentation. Preferred Certifications - DP-300 – Azure Database Administrator Associate - AZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate - AZ-900 – Azure Fundamentals - DP-900 – Azure Data Fundamentals Mandatory Requirements - Experience supporting enterprise production databases. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills . - Excellent communication and documentation skills . - Must be willing to work in the India Night Shift supporting US-based clients.
