Software Engineer II (Node.js) Position Details - Location: Mumbai - Experience Required: 3 to 6 years - Employment Type: Full-Time (Permanent) About the Role We are looking for a backend engineer to build and scale the core APIs and microservices that power our matchmaking platform. You will work on high-throughput systems, optimizing database queries and building resilient backend architectures to support real-time interactions for millions of active users. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure backend microservices using Node.js. - Architect real-time communication features, complex search algorithms, and recommendation delivery systems. - Optimize application performance, managing memory allocation, and reducing API latency. - Integrate and manage both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data storage, caching, and retrieval. - Collaborate with frontend/mobile teams to define API contracts and deliver seamless data integration. - Write clean, modular code with comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain high engineering standards. Required Tech Stack & Qualifications - Languages & Frameworks: Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks like Express.js or NestJS. - Databases: Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra). - Caching & Messaging: Hands-on experience with Redis, Memcached, and message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ. - Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda), Docker containerization, and CI/CD pipelines. - Architecture: Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
