Senior Data Engineer

Job Purpose | BLR ODC Data Team require Team Lead to handle 5 to 6 members for project tracking, technical solutions, development of complex task and manage project health. | Duties and Responsibilities | Development and Implementation 1. Developing and implementing an overall data strategy that is in line with business processes. 2. The strategy includes data model designs, database development, implementation, standards, team handling and code review. Coordinating and Collaborating 1. Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system 2. Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges 3. Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modelling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels Design 1. Develop a reference architecture that includes data domain specs 2. Hands on design database like Tier Architecture, DBMS, Distributed Databases, NoSQL Databases and Enterprise Data warehousing. | Key Decisions / Dimensions | 1. Team Management – Handling team to deliver data related projects. 2. Discussion with PUNE SPOC’s for understanding requirements. 3. Involvement into technical solutions for betterment of deliveries. 4. Team Code review. 5. T-SQL, PL-SQL Coding, Database design and Query Optimizations. | Major Challenges | 1. Team Management 2. Senior Database Developer | Required Qualifications and Experience | a) Qualifications Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Statistics or related field b) Work Experience Minimum of 6 years of experience in core technology organization or banking • Skills Keywords • Proficient in Database design and Azure data platform Solution design. • Delivering Cost and Process Optimized Solutions. • Experience with delivering data solutions on Azure Data Warehouse/Azure Synapse /Azure SQL DB/ On-Prim SQL Servers. • ETL design proficient on SSIS/ADF/Informatica. • Proficient in Designing Power BI / SSRS Reports. • Must have knowledge on Azure Storage, BLOB and ADLS Gen2. • Must have knowledge of NO-SQL Databases such as COSMOS DB. • Must have knowledge of Optimizing database using Query Execution Plan, DMV’s. • Proficient in using Azure Dev Ops, Azure Repo for version control. • Must have knowledge on Azure Data Bricks using Spark. |
