570997 - Integration & Kong API Architect - Blr, Che, Pune, Hyd - EAIS (INFYSYJP00007068) | 15 Years | Role Summary : Lead the end-to-end integration architecture for microservices-based platforms, including API design, implementation, and exposure via Kong API Gateway, ensuring scalability, governance, and reuse across domains. Key Responsibilities : 1. Architecture & Design Define integration architecture (HLD) for microservices and APIs Establish API-first design principles (OpenAPI-driven) Define and enforce integration patterns (REST, event-driven, MQ, MFT) Ensure loose coupling, reusability, and domain-driven design 2. API & Gateway Strategy Design and govern API exposure through Kong Gateway Define gateway standards: Authentication (OAuth2/JWT, mTLS) Rate limiting & throttling Routing and versioning Observability & correlation Ensure pass-through vs transformation decisions are aligned with best practices 3. Integration Governance Own API governance framework Review and approve: API contracts (OpenAPI) HLD / LLD designs Ensure compliance with: Security policies NFRs (performance, resilience, scalability) Regulatory constraints (important for banking) 4. Platform & Technology Leadership Define tech stack: Spring Boot microservices Kafka / event streaming Kong Gateway Kubernetes / cloud Drive standardization of reusable services and APIs 5. Cross-Team Coordination Work with: Domain architects Product owners Security / IAM teams Resolve cross-domain integration dependencies 6. Quality & Non-Functional Requirements : Ensure: High availability & resilience (circuit breakers, retries) Observability (logs, metrics, tracing) Performance tuning for APIs Good-to-Have : Banking / regulated domain exposure Experience with hybrid gateway models (DMZ, CP/DP separation) Experience with multi-channel / Open Banking integrations. | 28 LPA | Bangalore Chennai Pune Hyderabad |
