Area(s) of responsibility Core Responsibilities Camunda Platform Administrator (7.x) – Summary - Install, configure, and administer Camunda 7.x BPM platform - Manage environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod) with high availability - Monitor workflow engine, job execution, and system performance - Troubleshoot process failures, incidents, and engine issues - Manage deployments (BAR files), versioning, and release cycles - Configure security (LDAP/SSO, role-based access) - Optimize performance (JVM tuning, DB tuning, job executor tuning) - Maintain backend database (backup, recovery, performance) - Support integration via REST APIs, external task workers, messaging - Ensure platform uptime, stability, and SLA adherence Mandatory Skills (Must-Have) - Strong hands-on experience with Camunda 7.x (Process Engine, Cockpit, Tasklist, Admin) - Deep understanding of BPMN 2.0, DMN basics - Experience with application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic) - Strong knowledge of Java / Spring Boot ecosystem - Database expertise (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) + SQL tuning - Experience in performance tuning & troubleshooting Camunda engine - Familiarity with REST APIs & external task pattern - Basic understanding of security (LDAP, OAuth, SSO) Optional / Good-to-Have Skills - Exposure to Camunda 8 / Zeebe (migration awareness) - Experience with Kubernetes / Docker deployments - Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) - Integration ecosystem exposure (MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, Kafka) - CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) - Experience with Camunda Optimize or process analytics - Scripting (Shell / Python) for automation Experience Range - 5–10 years overall IT experience - 2–5 years focused on Camunda 7.x / BPM platforms
