Position Summary: Role: SDET II As a SDET II (Software Development Engineer in Test) at Deloitte Consulting, you will support the delivery of performance testing solutions that help clients improve application stability, scalability, and user experience. You will analyze nonfunctional requirements, design and execute performance tests, document findings, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues that affect quality. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across the software development lifecycle while supporting continuous improvement, innovation, and strong delivery outcomes. Work you'll do As an SDET II on the Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for: Analyze nonfunctional requirements and translate them into performance test scenarios, cases, scripts, and traceability documentation. Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter, or NeoLoad in alignment with client and industry standards. Execute performance tests, provision required test data, log and triage defects, and document results through completion and sign-off. Analyze test outcomes using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, and Splunk to identify bottlenecks, determine root causes, and recommend improvements. Collaborate with client, onshore, and offshore teams to manage dependencies, escalate risks, and support delivery in Agile environments. The team Engineering as a Service provides complete design, implementation, and technology operations, leveraging our core engineering expertise. We transform engineering teams, modernize technology, and deliver complex programs with a product engineering approach. Our flexible delivery models—traditional teams, pools, or pods—are tailored to each client’s needs, offering engineering-led advisory, implementation, and operational capabilities to accelerate innovation. Location: Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune/Chennai Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM and 2 PM to 11 PM Qualifications Required: 3–6 years of experience in performance testing and engineering roles Experience designing, developing, and executing performance test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter, or NeoLoad Experience planning and coordinating performance testing activities, including workload modeling and scenario design Experience analyzing test results, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending performance improvements Experience using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, or Splunk for root cause analysis Experience preparing performance test reports and presenting findings to stakeholders Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Computer Applications, Master of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent Preferred: Experience participating in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation Experience creating and maintaining requirements traceability documentation Experience provisioning test data for performance test execution Experience tracking dependencies and resolving issues that affect test activities Experience mentoring junior team members and reviewing test artifacts Our purpose Deloitte’s purpose is to make an impact that matters for our people, clients, and communities.
