About Position We are looking for an experienced Cloud Migration QA Lead to drive quality assurance strategy and execution for enterprise cloud migration initiatives (on-prem AWS/Azure/GCP). The role involves owning end-to-end migration testing (pre-migration, migration, post-migration), ensuring data integrity, application functionality, performance, security, and business continuity. The ideal candidate will combine QA leadership, cloud knowledge, and migration-specific testing expertise to deliver risk-free, high-quality cloud transformations. Role: QA Lead Location: Pune Experience: 8 to 12 years Job Type: Full Time Employment What You'll Do QA Strategy Governance Define and own end-to-end QA strategy for cloud migration programs Establish testing frameworks, standards, KPIs, and quality gates Develop migration QA roadmap aligned to migration phases Ensure compliance with SLAs, regulatory, and quality standards Lead testing across all migration phases: pre-migration, migration, and post-migration Conduct baseline validation, readiness checks, and production validation Ensure validation of applications, data, infrastructure, and integrations Oversee cutover testing, rollback testing, and stabilization testing Design and review test strategy, test plans, test cases, and regression packs Manage functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing Ensure defect tracking, triage, and resolution governance Perform data migration testing including integrity, reconciliation, and completeness validation Ensure functional validation to maintain application behavior consistency post-migration Validate integration between cloud and legacy systems Conduct performance, scalability, and security testing (access control, encryption, compliance) Design and implement test automation frameworks Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and enable continuous testing Drive API and microservices testing automation Identify and mitigate risks related to data corruption, performance degradation, security gaps, and integration failures Define test coverage and implement risk-based testing strategies Lead and mentor QA teams (manual and automation) Collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps teams, migration leads, and business stakeholders Provide status reporting, quality dashboards, and executive updates Expertise You'll Bring Strong expertise in test strategy and test management Experience in functional, regression, and integration testing Proficiency in automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright Experience in defect lifecycle management and QA governance Experience in cloud migration testing and validation Understanding of AWS / Azure / GCP environments and cloud architectures Deep understanding of data migration validation (ETL, reconciliation) Knowledge of migration patterns and workflows Experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner Understanding of security fundamentals (IAM, access control, data protection) Experience validating scalability and cloud performance Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and container-based architectures Experience with test automation in cloud-native environments Strong leadership and team management capabilities Excellent stakeholder communication (business and technical) Strong risk management and decision-making skills Ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios Bachelor?s/Master?s degree in Computer Science / IT 8-12+ years of experience in QA / Testing 3-5+ years in QA leadership or Test Lead roles Proven experience in large-scale cloud migration programs Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards Annual health check-ups Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents Values-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
