DevOps Engineer

Description As a DevOps Engineer at Billion Careers Private Limited, you will be a key member of our Product team, responsible for ensuring the stability and growth of our SaaS platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in automating processes, managing AWS infrastructure, and collaborating with various teams to enhance our platform's performance and scalability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our SaaS platform and drive innovation within the Product team. Responsibilities - Automate and optimize deployment processes to ensure efficient and reliable software releases. - Manage and monitor AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and RDS databases, to maintain high availability and performance. - Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). - Implement and maintain monitoring tools to track system performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure optimal system health. - Design and develop scalable and secure infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. - Ensure security and compliance by implementing security measures, conducting regular security audits, and staying updated with industry best practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, working closely with the operations team to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. - Document and maintain comprehensive documentation for all DevOps processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and easy onboarding for new team members. - Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and trends, and propose innovative solutions to improve our platform's efficiency. - Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to other team members on DevOps-related queries and challenges. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a proven track record of successfully managing AWS infrastructure. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and configuration management. - Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration platforms. - Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar. - Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform or CloudFormation. - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. - Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest DevOps trends and best practices.
