Learn more at https://www.jnj.com / . The MedTech Epidemiology and Real-World Data Sciences (MedTech EPI-RWDS) department at Johnson & Johnson (J&J) is located in New Brunswick, NJ office. The MedTech EPI-RWDS provides analytical capabilities using large administrative, patient-level databases to answer a variety of questions related to safety, product development, health outcomes research, and other clinical or commercial activities. These may involve analysis of comparative effectiveness, disease burden, standard of care, cost/reimbursement patterns, safety, market size, site of care, and clinical/health economic outcomes. We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity of Senior Analyst, MedTech EPI-RWDS to build our programmatic team in India. Potential locations include Hyderabad or Bangalore. **Key Responsibilities:** The Senior Analyst will perform the following for the Medical Devices sector: + Lead data programming and analytical needs of the Cardiovascular and Specialty Solutions (CSS) pod within the Medical Device Epidemiology - Real World Data Sciences team for real-world evidence studies undertaken by the team. + Lead the development of standardized processes that will maintain and improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of the team's analytical deliverables. + Work with real world data sets to identify cohorts based on study protocol criteria, and create the analytical file in close collaboration with the study lead. + Reporting into the Senior Director, MedTech Epidemiology-RWDS, the Senior Analyst will leverage their deep analytical expertise and programming knowledge to advance the use of real-world data for medical device safety and effectiveness assessment in the field of electrophysiology and neurovascular research. + Lead the creation of data specification files and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents for healthcare datasets such as electronic medical records, insurance claims, hospital billing data. + Present in analytical forums and training sessions for dissemination of standardized processes, frameworks, macros and new analytical approaches. + Manage analytical infrastructure issues related to software and data servers in close collaboration with colleagues from IT and Data Sciences. + Assist in that the analytical platforms are operational for the team to meet their goals + Participate in project teams and collaborate working closely with project team to optimize queries and create desired output. + Collaborate with other programmers within MedTech Epi function to assess, evaluate and ETL new data sources. **Qualifications: Required** + Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, epidemiology, computational biology, statistics, or a related discipline. + At least 6 years of relevant experience in healthcare or life sciences industry is required + At least 6 years of relevant hands-on data science experience in an epidemiology, R&D environment, commercial, medical affairs, scientific affairs and/or is required. + Familiarity with large datasets, understanding of data analysis workflows, and/or knowledge of querying languages such as SQL is required. + Proficient with one or more programming language such as Python (preferred), R, C++, or Java is required. + Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required. + undefined + **Qualifications: Preferred** Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-10, LOINC, SNOMED, NDC, etc.).Experience with visualization software/tools such as R, Spotfire, Tableau, etc. is preferred. **Other:** This position may require up to 10% of domestic and international travel.Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
