Software Engineer

Summary of the role As a Software Engineer , he/she will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate delivery of Applications within their area of responsibility. About the Job - Understand business requirements and analyze relevant processes in one's own area of responsibility - Consolidate requirements in related areas of responsibility, support prioritization and increase response time to business needs - Identify opportunities to simplify applications (pertinent to each area of responsibility) with a view to removing complexity from the organization and improving productivity - Work closely with Process Engineers and Subject Matter Experts from businesses across TSS to understand the application requirements - Participate in feasibility studies (change requests) for system enhancements - Work closely with ERP Competency Center, Project Teams, IT Project Management Office to coordinate/support technical implementation. - Developing new web applications as per the business needs - Maintain the existing applications and handle change requests. - Document functionality, create application manuals. About the Ideal Candidate Education & Experience: - 3 years of hands-on experience in ASP.NET and .NET application development. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent. - Experience in developing and maintaining web applications . - Good knowledge of MySQL database design, writing queries, and optimization. - Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX . - Understanding of RESTful APIs and client-server architecture. - Familiarity with debugging, testing, and performance optimization. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git ) is an added advantage. Competencies: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. - Capability to understand business requirements and deliver quality solutions within deadlines.
