Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring that aerospace components meet quality standards and customer requirements. The role includes inspection, documentation, process monitoring, and quality improvement activities. Key Responsibilities - Strategy & Testing: Design comprehensive test plans, risk-based testing frameworks, and quality metrics. - Process Control: Implement statistical process controls (SPC) and failure analysis tools like FMEA. - Root-Cause Analysis: Investigate production or software defects and drive corrective actions (CAPA). - Auditing & Compliance: Maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) and lead internal or supplier audits. - Collaboration & Mentorship: Guide cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers 1. Inspection & Quality Control - Perform in-process and final inspection of components - Verify dimensions using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM) - Ensure product meets drawing and GD&T requirements 2. Documentation & Quality Records - Prepare inspection reports - Maintain quality documents and records - Handle First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation 3. Quality System Compliance - Follow AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards - Support internal and external audits - Ensure compliance with aerospace standards 4. Root Cause Analysis - Identify quality issues - Perform root cause analysis - Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) 5. Process Improvement - Monitor production quality - Suggest improvements to reduce defects - Support continuous improvement activities Skills Required - Strong knowledge of GD&T - Knowledge of measuring instruments - Knowledge of CMM inspection - Knowledge of aerospace quality standards - Good documentation skills Preferred Skills (Aerospace Industry) - Experience with AS9100 - Experience in aerospace machining industry - Knowledge of FAI, PPAP, CAPA - Position: Sr QA Engineer Location: Bommasandra, Bangalore Experience: 2–8 Years Job Type: Full-time Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month Benefits: - Food provided - Health insurance - Provident Fund Work Location: In person
