Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Performance Test Engineer with 3-10 years of experience in performance engineering, load testing, and application performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in LoadRunner, JMeter, Postman, and New Relic to design, execute, and analyze performance tests for web, mobile, API, and enterprise applications. The role involves identifying performance bottlenecks, collaborating with development and infrastructure teams, and ensuring applications meet scalability, reliability, and performance requirements. Required Skills (Mandatory) Strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner for performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing. Expertise in Apache JMeter for web and API performance testing. Proficiency in Postman for API validation, testing, and automation. Experience with New Relic for application performance monitoring, diagnostics, and root cause analysis. Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices. Experience in workload modeling, test scenario design, and test data management. Knowledge of performance metrics such as response time, throughput, latency, resource utilization, and error rates. Experience in analyzing server-side and application-level performance bottlenecks. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Roles And Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using LoadRunner and JMeter. Create realistic workload models and test scenarios based on business requirements. Perform load, stress, spike, endurance, volume, and scalability testing. Develop and execute API performance tests using Postman and other testing tools. Monitor application and infrastructure performance using New Relic and other monitoring solutions. Analyze test results and identify application, database, network, and infrastructure bottlenecks. Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues. Prepare detailed performance test reports, dashboards, and recommendations for stakeholders. Establish performance benchmarks, SLAs, and acceptance criteria. Support performance testing activities across multiple environments, including QA, staging, and production. Participate in performance tuning initiatives and capacity planning exercises. Automate performance testing processes and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. Ensure adherence to performance engineering standards, processes, and best practices. Conduct root cause analysis for production performance issues and provide remediation recommendations. Preferred Skills (Good To Have) Programming knowledge in Python, Java, C, VB Script, Shell Scripting, and Node.js. Experience in test automation and framework development. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Experience with log monitoring and observability tools. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies. Knowledge of API testing tools and service virtualization.
