Engineering Manager

This role is for one of Weekday’s clients Salary range: Rs 3500000 - Rs 5500000 (ie INR 35 - 55 LPA) Min Experience: 7+ years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead/Manager to oversee day-to-day engineering operations, drive project delivery, and help build a high-performing engineering team. Requirements Responsibilities • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers. • Manage sprint planning, execution, and delivery timelines. • Coordinate with Product, Operations, and Leadership teams to ensure successful project execution. • Review technical designs, code, and architecture decisions. • Identify and remove delivery blockers. • Improve engineering processes, quality, and operational efficiency. • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management. Requirements • 7+ years of software engineering experience. • 1+ years of engineering leadership or team management experience. • Strong understanding of software development, system design, and cloud technologies. • Experience managing Agile/Scrum teams.• Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to balance technical leadership with people and project management. Nice to Have • Experience in SaaS, AI/ML, or data-driven products. • Familiarity with Python, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
