Manager II, V&V IoT & Cloud Applications

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Engineering leader to drive quality transformation across IoT, Edge and Cloud-based Smart Building solutions. This role is accountable for quality strategy, automation transformation, AI-enabled testing, test environments, test data management, and development of high performing QA teams. Key Deliverables - Define enterprise QA strategy. - Establish scalable test environments and IoT labs. - Implement test data management. - Drive automation across UI/API/integration/performance testing. - Institutionalize AI-enabled quality practices. - Improve release quality KPIs. - Build and mentor a world-class QA organization. Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management - Lead and manage QA team including Automation engineers, Edge and Cloud test engineers. - Define team objectives, KPIs, and performance goals. - Mentor teams and foster a culture of accountability and innovation. Quality Strategy & Governance - Develop and execute the organization's QA strategy aligned with business objectives. - Establish testing standards, methodologies, and best practices. - Own quality roadmap, quality metrics, governance framework, release readiness, and risk management. - Drive process improvements and Quality Engineering practices across product teams. Test Architecture, Environment & Data Management - Own test strategy across Edge, IoT, Cloud, APIs and Analytics platforms. - Establish device labs, simulators, digital twins, test environments and comprehensive test data management practices. - Oversee test planning, estimation, execution, and defect management activities. - Ensure adequate test coverage across functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing. - Review and approve test strategies, test plans, and release readiness criteria. Automation & Innovation - Drive automation-first culture. Expand automation coverage across UI, API, integration, performance, and infrastructure testing. - Evaluate and implement new QA tools, technologies, and industry best practices. - Promote shift-left testing and DevOps quality practices. - Leverage GenAI for test design, script generation, maintenance, and predictive quality analytics. Stakeholder Collaboration - Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, DevOps, and Customer Success teams. - Participate in release planning and risk assessment activities. - Communicate quality status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. - 15+ years of experience with deep expertise in cloud & edge testing; 5+ years leading large QA teams; - Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions). - Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with experience in Test Management tools like Jira and X-Ray. - Experienced in Managing, Coordinating, Planning, and executing the testing with multiple cross functional team and Agile process. - Preferred experience in Smart Buildings, IoT platforms, or cloud-based data intensive systems - Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams. - Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to a diverse set of audiences. - Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences - Willingness to work outside documented job description. Has a "whatever is needed" attitude. - Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and industry standards.
