Senior Performance Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for working independently and using your strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, debug, and analyze results in a fast-paced environment. You will tackle new challenges daily and must have good communication skills. Additionally, you will be required to have experience with Bash, Perl, Python, Linux, JavaScript, LoadRunner, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, Jenkins, and potentially Playwright, AWS, Grafana, and New Relic. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy and configure test instances and PostgreSQL databases on-premises and in AWS and GCP environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins. - Identify and resolve deployment, test, and product issues. - Develop performance tests using tools like LoadRunner, DevWeb, Apache Benchmark, Cypress, and custom scripts in Python, Perl, Bash, and SQL. - Monitor and analyze various metrics and logs to diagnose issues and bottlenecks, utilizing tools like Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, and more. - Document and track product issues in Jira and collaborate with engineering teams to address them effectively. - Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Maintain clear documentation in Confluence and ensure performance improvements are verified and sustained. - Enhance automation processes to focus more on analysis rather than data collection. - Take ownership of tasks, demonstrate initiative, and continuously improve your skills. Key Requirements: - Possess 8+ years of experience in performance engineering, ideally with complex, containerized products in the cloud. - Proficient in LoadRunner, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, and scripting languages like Bash, Perl, and Python. - Ability to diagnose bottlenecks in PostgreSQL queries and use performance monitoring tools such as New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, etc. - Comfortable with ambiguity and failure, with strong analytical skills and a growth mindset. - Value ownership, learning, and simplification in work processes.
