SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Role: SAP ABAP Consultant Experience: 2.5-3 Years Location: Chennai Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site SAP ABAP Consultant role based in Chennai. The SAP ABAP Consultant will design, develop, and maintain custom SAP applications and enhancements using ABAP, following best practices and project standards. Daily responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, building and modifying reports and interfaces, implementing user exits and enhancements, and testing solutions to ensure performance and reliability. The role also involves collaborating with functional consultants and business stakeholders, troubleshooting technical issues, preparing technical documentation, and supporting deployments and production systems. Profile Requirements: - Candidates should possess strong skills in developing and maintaining ALV Reports for efficient data presentation and analysis. - Candidates should possess skills in implementing User Exits and related enhancement techniques for customizing standard SAP processes. - Candidates should possess skills in BAPI and IDoc to build and support integrations and data exchange between SAP and external systems. - Candidates should possess skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) within ABAP for modular, scalable, and maintainable solution design. - Solid understanding of core SAP modules (such as MM, SD, FI, or PP) and their technical integration points. - Hands-on experience with debugging, performance optimization, and SAP development tools (SE80, SE37, SE38, etc.). - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and quality in technical delivery. - Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
