We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise Architecture team to help spearhead our cloud transformation initiative. This is a strategic role that combines hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership to modernize our infrastructure and drive cloud adoption across the organization. In this role, you’ll lead the design and implementation of our cloud-first infrastructure strategy. Your work will directly shape how we build, deploy, and operate applications in the cloud. Essential Duties Architect scalable, secure AWS & other cloud solutions that align with enterprise standards while enabling development teams to deploy faster and more reliably. Establish infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, creating reusable modules and frameworks that teams across the company can leverage. Building robust CI/CD pipelines will be central to your role, automating everything from code commits through production deployment while embedding security at every stage. Working closely with security teams, you’ll integrate DevSecOps principles into our development lifecycle, implementing automated security scanning, compliance monitoring, and governance controls. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality user experiences. You’ll also mentor engineers across the organization, promoting cloud best practices and building internal capability. Qualifications Education Qualifications and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional and DevOps Engineer Professional would strengthen your application. Previous Work Experience, including Leadership Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, demonstrating deep knowledge of core services including EC2, S3, RDS, FSx, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC networking, and IAM. Technical / Domain Specific / Functional Experience and Knowledge Terraform expertise is evident through Infrastructure-as-Code implementations you’ve led, including module development, state management, and multi-environment deployments. Demonstrated expertise in developing comprehensive CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline, with a thorough understanding of the complete software delivery lifecycle. Additional technical domain knowledge requirements DevSecOps is part of your DNA - you’ve integrated security tools like SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy, or AWS Security Hub into pipelines and understand compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or CIS benchmarks. Proficient in Python, Bash, and automation scripting. Subject matter expertise in network operations and secure operations is a must.
