EEG Technician- Neurology

Title | EEG Technician | Location | Thane | Job Profile | - Patient Oriented - To conduct E.E.G. tests - To orient & educate the patient regarding the test - Counseling the patient with patience for efficient conduct of the test - To ensure interpretation of the reading is done by Consultant. - Coordinating with Ward nursing staff for inpatients requiring the test - Providing provisional reports with Consultants consent in cases of emergency. - Timely dispatch of EEG reports. - Inventory Oriented: - Check stock related to the test (Ether, Sticking plaster, Pedicloryl Syrup, Crape bandage etc…) - Showing consumption of used material. - Medication related: Not Applicable - Department related - Prioritizing the quick conduct of EEG for OPD Patients | Skills | - Technical know how: - Functioning of the EEG machine - Checking for accurate performance of the test - Checking the impedance of electrode - Basic knowledge of Hospital Information systems - Alertness: - To take care of patients while performing the test if patient gets Jerks / Seizures. - Comfort level of the patient while performing the test - Interpersonal skills: - Fluency & clear understanding in educating the patient for the test - Patient & Courteous - Basic Emergency Training: - Requires training in BLS | Reporting | Neurotechnologist | Qualification | HSC, Certification for EEG / Experience of 2 Yrs | Experience | 6 months to 1 year |
