In this senior individual contributor role, you will serve as a technical authority on our Security Engineering team, driving the design of secure technology capabilities across our enterprise and product environments. A particular focus of this role is the secure adoption of artificial intelligence - including securing AI/ML pipelines, governing GenAI usage, and ensuring AI-assisted development practices meet our security standards. Success requires deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence without authority across a complex, globally distributed organization. Join us and pursue your personal best! **Duties & Responsibilities** + Define and maintain security architecture standards, ensuring alignment with business strategy, risk appetite, and industry standards (NIST CSF, CIS 18, Zero Trust principles). + Develop threat models for AI/ML systems, establish guardrails for GenAI usage (including LLM-integrated applications and AI-assisted development), and evaluate AI security tooling. + Design and govern security controls for cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), including identity architecture, network segmentation, data protection, and workload security posture. + Provide authoritative security architecture review for new products, platforms, infrastructure, and third-party integrations, delivering actionable findings and remediation guidance. + Develop and maintain security reference architectures, patterns, and guardrails for use by engineering and development teams; socialize and evangelize standards across technology organizations. + Partner with other security analysts and engineers to ensure architectures are informed by threat actor TTPs and emerging attack vectors. + Collaborate with the Security Enablement team to translate architectural decisions into control evidence, supporting audits, client assessments, and regulatory requirements. + Evaluate and recommend security tooling and vendors; contribute to build-vs-buy decisions and support RFP/RFI processes as a technical subject matter expert. + Mentor security engineers and cross-functional technology peers; elevate the security maturity of the broader engineering organization through enablement and consultation. **Accountability / Impact of Job** _Check the box that indicates the scope of this position's accountability and detail the locations of accountability._ Local _(Accountable to single country)_ Regional _(Accountable to multiple countries)_ Global _(Accountable to multiple continents)_ List either the country (local), the countries (regional), or the multiple continents (global) impacted: Global CommScope footprint _Provide any additional comments relative to the accountability / impact of this position._ N/A **Minimum Job Specifications** Is this a job progression? Yes -OR- No If this job is part of a progression, outline minimum requirements per grade in the designated section. **RELATED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** **_(Education and experience must be in related field)_** **_._** _Select all that apply._ High School degree Associate's in related curriculum such as Bachelor's in related curriculum such as _I'm open to any Bachelor's degree_ Master's in related curriculum such as w/ Years of Related Experience w/ Years of Related Experience w/ 8+Years of Related Experience w/ Years of Related Experience **_FILL OUT SECTIONS BELOW ONLY IF THIS JOB IS A PART OF A JOB PROGRESSION._** Grade High School diploma or equivalent Associate's in related curriculum such as Bachelor's in related curriculum such as Master's in related curriculum such as w/ Years of Related Experience Grade High School diploma or equivalent Associate's in related curriculum such as Bachelor's in related curriculum such as Master's in related curriculum such as w/ Years of Related Experience **SKILLS REQUIRED** Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills. + 8+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, with at least 3 years in a security architecture or senior engineering capacity. + A bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience. + Demonstrated expertise in enterprise security architecture, including Zero Trust design, network segmentation, identity and access management, and cloud-native security patterns. + Hands-on experience securing AI/ML systems: threat modeling for AI pipelines, data poisoning and prompt injection mitigations, and governance frameworks for GenAI adoption (e.g., OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS). + Strong working knowledge of major public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including cloud security posture management (CSPM), SIEM, SSE/SASE, and endpoint security. + Experience developing security architecture documentation, reference architectures, and architectural decision records (ADRs). + Proven ability to influence cross-functional technology teams and communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Familiarity with relevant frameworks and standards: NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, CIS 18, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and applicable privacy regulations. + Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills. + Ambitious, disciplined, and self-directed; able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment. + DESIRED - Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure Security Specialty, or GIAC credentials. + DESIRED - Experience building or red-teaming AI agents and LLM-integrated applications. + DESIRED - Exposure to product security and secure SDLC, + DESIRED - Experience with lightweight automation or scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar) to support architecture validation and tooling integration. + DESIRED - Familiarity with supply chain security, firmware security, or OT/IoT security considerations. **Learn more about how we're on a quest to connect the future and build what's next.** **Job Segment:** Architecture, Information Security, Supply Chain, Engineer, Cyber Security, Engineering, Technology, Operations, Security
