Checkout.com is looking for a talented and driven Associate to join our Strategic Finance and Planning team in London . This is a critical function implementing new processes in a fast-scaling international organisation As an Associate Finance Business Partner, you serve as a strategic advisor to our Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing organisations. You act as the primary conduit between these departments and the central Corporate FP&A function, ensuring that annual budgets and quarterly forecasts are not just corporate requirements, but accurate reflections of your partners' operational needs. Sitting at the heart of our financial planning, you transform raw data into tailored reporting and ad hoc analysis that empowers department heads and the CFO to make informed, high-impact decisions. Your role is to harmonise departmental growth—from headcount to P&L management—with the overarching financial health and scaling strategy of Checkout.com . What You'll Be Doing In this role, you will lead the planning and analysis for your assigned business areas while contributing to broader corporate financial processes: Business Partnering: Support Executive teams and their direct leadership by ensuring resourcing needs align with the business roadmap. Budget Management: Manage the budgeting process by gathering requirements, setting timetables, and ensuring all activities are completed by stakeholders and finance teams. Financial Analysis: Produce accurate and thorough financial analysis and commentary presented in a meaningful way to enable senior leaders to make financially sound decisions. Reporting: Assist in running key financial processes, including quarterly forecast updates and monthly management information (MI) packs. Process Improvement: Enact process changes and best practices to facilitate the flow of information between management accounts and FP&A in a fast-scaling international organisation. Decision Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support investment and project decisions. Data Integrity: Work cross-functionally to ensure data consistency, quality, and appropriateness within group budgets and reporting. About You The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience: 3+ years of specific experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or business analysis. Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills with a proven ability to synthesise data to form insights. Systems: Familiarity with business systems (Adaptive), alteryx, financial planning, and accounting tools. Communication: Excellent communicator with the ability to clearly articulate insights and influence/align stakeholders. Execution: Self-starter with a track record of identifying problems and implementing solutions with high attention to detail.
