Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning models that drive critical business decisions. This individual will be a hands-on contributor responsible for building scalable forecasting and predictive models, improving existing production models, and partnering closely with business stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into data-driven solutions. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Monitor, maintain, and optimize existing machine learning models in production environments. Analyze model performance and incorporate business feedback to refine and improve predictions over time. Design, build, test, and deploy new machine learning models focused on forecasting and predictive analytics. Develop regression models to predict key business metrics such as revenue, sales performance, and operational outcomes. Build classification models to predict probabilities and support business decision-making. Collaborate with business partners to understand use cases, define success metrics, and translate requirements into analytical solutions. Utilize Python-based technologies and large-scale data processing tools to develop and deploy models. Work within Azure-based environments and support model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure machine learning solutions deliver measurable business value. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with significant hands-on model development responsibilities. Proven experience building machine learning models from scratch and deploying them into a production environment within an enterprise setting. Demonstrated ability to explain the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, including data preparation, feature engineering, model selection, tuning, validation, deployment, and monitoring. Experience serving as a primary contributor on machine learning initiatives rather than solely supporting or maintaining models. Strong experience developing forecasting and predictive analytics models, particularly revenue forecasting and related business planning use cases. Expertise with regression modeling techniques and generating continuous-value predictions. Experience building and deploying classification models to predict probabilities and business outcomes. Advanced Python development skills, including experience working with PySpark and large-scale datasets. Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning fundamentals, and model evaluation methodologies. Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. Experience applying machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems and drive operational decision-making. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Machine Learning services. Experience developing and deploying solutions on Databricks. Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
