Insulation Supervisor

Job Title: Insulation Supervisor Location: Pipavav, Gujarat/ Mangalore, Karnataka,/ Vishakhapatnam Job Type: Full-time Experience Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience in insulation works (Hot & Cold Insulation) - Minimum Qualification: Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering Job Summary: The Insulation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the proper execution of hot and cold insulation works at project sites. The role involves supervising insulation teams, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety protocols. The supervisor must have hands-on experience in in-situ casting of cold insulation and must ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities: 1. Insulation Work Supervision - Supervise and monitor insulation activities, ensuring adherence to project requirements. - Oversee the installation of hot & cold insulation for pipelines, equipment, and structures. - Ensure proper execution of in-situ casting of cold insulation techniques. - Verify insulation materials and installation methods comply with project specifications. 2. Team Management & Coordination - Assign tasks and oversee the performance of insulation workers. - Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to align insulation work with project schedules. - Train workers on proper insulation methods and safety practices. 3. Quality Control & Compliance - Inspect insulation works to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with project standards. - Identify and resolve insulation defects or deficiencies. - Maintain compliance with relevant insulation standards such as ASTM, ISO, and BS codes. 4. Safety & Risk Management - Ensure that insulation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. - Implement necessary safety measures to prevent accidents during insulation work. - Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers. 5. Documentation & Reporting - Maintain records of insulation materials, manpower, and work progress. - Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on insulation activities. - Communicate effectively with engineers and management regarding project updates. - Technical Knowledge: - Strong understanding of insulation materials (PIR, PUR, rock wool, cellular glass, etc.). - Familiarity with insulation tools, equipment, and installation techniques. - Ability to read and interpret insulation drawings and work plans. - Soft Skills: - Strong leadership and team management abilities. - Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams and management. Desired Experience: - Work experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power plants, or industrial projects. - Knowledge of international insulation standards and best practices.
