Big Data Architect

Job Role: Big Data Architect Experience: 15+ Years Location: Remote Key Skills: Big Data, AWS & Azure Cloud Platforms, Azure Synapse Analytics, Apache Kafka & Apache Spark, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage Role Overview: We are hiring an experienced Big Data Architect to design scalable enterprise data platforms and modern cloud-native big data solutions. The ideal candidate will drive data architecture strategy, build high-performance data pipelines, and enable advanced analytics platforms in enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities: - Design scalable enterprise data architecture following Agile and SAFe methodologies - Architect large-scale data products handling high-volume and intensive data applications - Design and implement Data Mesh architecture for decentralized data management - Build and optimize real-time streaming architectures for large-scale systems - Manage application deployment, hosting, and orchestration using Kubernetes - Drive DataOps practices for continuous architecture improvement and automation - Create and maintain Architectural Runway and Non-Functional Requirements - Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows - Ensure built-in quality, security, and governance standards from architecture stage - Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams for scalable data solutions Required Skills & Experience: - 15+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ years in Architect role - Strong experience designing enterprise-grade Big Data and Analytics solutions - Hands-on expertise with Data Products and large-scale distributed data systems - Experience implementing Data Mesh architecture and modern data ecosystems - Strong expertise in real-time data streaming architecture - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for deployment and container orchestration - Strong DataOps mindset focused on automation and continuous evolution - Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows - Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman - Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced enterprise environments Core Technologies: - AWS & Azure Cloud Platforms - Azure Synapse Analytics - Apache Kafka & Apache Spark - Azure Databricks - Azure Data Lake Storage - NiFi, RDS, SQL Data Warehouse - Power BI & Reporting Analytics - Enterprise Systems (BSS, OSS & Enterprise Support Systems)
