SAP ECC Senior Portal consultant

Key Responsibilities: - Configure, customize, and maintain SAP Enterprise Portal (EP) integrated with SAP ECC systems. - Develop and manage iViews, worksets, and roles within the portal for optimal user access and navigation. - Handle User Management Engine (UME) configuration, including roles, permissions, and integration with LDAP or ABAP user stores. - Integrate ECC functionalities into the portal via Web Dynpro ABAP/Java, BSP, and RFCs/Web Services. - Work with NetWeaver Portal components like Knowledge Management (KM), Collaboration, and Universal Worklist (UWL). - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to portal content rendering, SSO configuration, and performance optimization. - Collaborate with functional and technical teams to gather requirements and design user-friendly portal applications. - Maintain and upgrade SAP Portal systems in line with SAP support packs and enhancement packs. Skills : - Experience with SAP UI5, SAP Fiori apps, and Gateway/OData Services is a strong advantage. - Ability to extend/customize standard Fiori applications and develop custom UI5 apps. - Understanding of SAP Launchpad and integration with ECC backend systems. - Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies. - Exposure to SAP Web IDE or Business Application Studio for app development - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Good communication skills to interface with business users and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic project environment. Business Skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to communicate with others clearly and concisely. - Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. - Understands business processes for focus areas or modules. - Ability to do research and perform detailed tasks. - Strong analytical skills.
