Safety Supervisor

Job Title: Safety Supervisor Location: Pipavav, Gujarat/ Mangalore, Karnataka,/ Vishakhapatnam or at any requirement Job Type: Full-time Experience Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience in safety supervision within insulation projects (Hot & Cold Insulation, including in-situ casting of cold insulation ). - Minimum Qualification: - 12th Pass (Higher Secondary). - Diploma in Industrial Safety (Mandatory). Job Summary: The Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing and enforcing safety protocols on insulation projects, ensuring a safe work environment for all workers. The role requires hands-on experience in hot & cold insulation , including in-situ casting of cold insulation and work at height . The Supervisor must conduct risk assessments, enforce compliance with safety regulations, and promote a safety-first culture at project sites. Key Responsibilities: 1. Safety Supervision & Compliance - Monitor insulation activities (hot & cold insulation) to ensure compliance with safety regulations. - Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive safety measures for insulation works, especially at height. - Ensure proper handling and application of in-situ casting of cold insulation / hot insulation materials safely. - Ensure compliance with other relevant safety standards. 2. Work at Height & Hazard Management - Ensure workers follow proper safety protocols when working at height. - Inspect scaffolding, harnesses, and fall protection equipment before work begins. - Conduct daily toolbox talks and briefings on work-at-height safety. 3. Safety Training & Awareness - Train insulation workers on proper safety procedures and use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). - Conduct fire safety, chemical handling, and emergency response drills. - Educate workers on handling insulation materials safely to avoid health hazards. - 4. Inspection & Incident Reporting - Conduct site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions or practices. - Investigate any workplace accidents, injuries, or near misses and implement corrective actions. - Maintain accurate records of safety violations, inspections, and incidents. 5. Coordination & Documentation - Work closely with project managers, insulation engineers, and supervisors to ensure safety measures align with project requirements. - Prepare and submit daily/weekly safety reports. - Ensure safety signs, barricades, and emergency exits are properly placed at work sites. - Technical Knowledge: - Strong understanding of work-at-height safety protocols. - Familiarity with insulation materials and their safety handling requirements. - Knowledge of industry safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, NFPA, etc.). - Ability to inspect and assess safety risks in insulation projects. - Soft Skills: - Strong leadership and ability to enforce safety rules. - Excellent communication skills for conducting training and safety briefings. - Good problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks. - Proficiency in computers MS Office Preferred Experience: - Work experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power plants, or industrial projects. - First Aid and Fire Safety Certification is an added advantage.
