Job Description Job Description – Technical Application Service Support Experience: 7 to 14 years Location: Hyderabad Technical Application Service Specialist (TASS) is a technology professional responsible for providing top-tier customer service, technical support, and service delivery for a team’s products or services. Their role includes diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing regular maintenance and repairs, and providing technical support to customers and stakeholders. They continuously monitor system performance to pre-emptively address potential issues and maintain detailed records of technical problems and solutions. Additionally, they collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement improvements and meet customer requirements. Training and guiding customers and internal teams on product usage is also a key part of their role. This position is crucial for maintaining system reliability, availability and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role work is within Trade Execution Lab which has multiple features team building the critical application used by the MoBo Business (Settlements, Payments and client on-boarding). The role involves working closely with the development team and other Markets Business areas to maintain the platform and provide the Live service support. Some of the tech we use includes: - OS: Windows, Linux, Solaris - Monitoring and alerting (Splunk, NetIQ, Tivoli, Dynatrace) - Automation and scheduling (TWS, Jenkins, UrbanCode) - Scripting (VBA, Python, Perl, etc.) - Data: Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres - HDFS for storage - HTML5/ReactJS/Kafka/Zuul/Eureka based apps What you’ll do: - Technical Operations : Monitors, troubleshoot, diagnoses, resolves or manages technical issues across a range of applications Supported by group. - Operational Accountability : Accept 24/7 responsibility for service availability, Performance and leading incident recovery minimising impact on service along with availability for on call rota. - Cross function Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to enhance service quality. - SRE and Service Engineering : Applies Software and Automation as tools to solve challenges and manage production systems, to balance release of new features with system stability. - Training and Development: Lead Training sessions to upskill team members and ensure consistent service excellence. - Learn and adapt to technologies used within Lloyds and the wider industry, bringing colleagues along the same journey. - Understand the importance of quality by creating and implementing approaches, guidelines, and principles with peers. What we are looking for: - Support engineer with exposure to DevOps methodologies and tools. - Familiarity with monitoring tools, including Splunk, Dynatrace and Grafana. - Knowledge of SQL, relational databases. - Knowledge of ITIL and processes such as Incident, Problem and Event Management. - Open to work in rotational shifts (Morning and Afternoon Shifts) and share the on-call rota for out of business hours to manage the critical applications. - Advocate of Agile delivery practices. - Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interface with a wide range of stakeholders. Preferable if you also have: - Experience within Swift and Payments Middle office applications (Pay+ for CLS\Swift\Crest). - Client onboarding and SSI creation and management. - Experience in any programming language (Java, Python). Primary Skill P2 Knowledge of SQL, relational databases. Working knowledge of Linux and windows environments. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk and Grafana\Prometheus. Working knowledge and experience of SRE principles and practices providing automated solutions to manual tasks and releases. Primary Skill P3 Experience delivering DevOps for business critical financial markets applications. Strong CI/CD skills (Azure DevOps/GitHub/Jenkins). Proven track record in automated, auditable releases and reducing manual effort through scripting (Python/PowerShell). To aid existing engineering teams with transition to automated releases.
