QA Automation Engineer

About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate QA Automation Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in testing SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation testing, API testing and CI/CD practices, with the ability to ensure high-quality software releases in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web-based SaaS applications. - Collaborate with developers, product managers and QA team members to understand requirements and define test strategies. - Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke and sanity testing. - Develop and execute API automation tests using tools such as Postman or Rest Assured. - Identify, log, track and verify defects using bug-tracking tools. - Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups. - Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. - Analyze test results and prepare detailed test reports. Required Skills: - 3–4 years of experience in QA Automation, preferably in a SaaS product environment. - Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright or Cypress. - Proficiency in Java, Python or JavaScript for automation scripting. - Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured or similar tools. - Good understanding of SQL and database validation. - Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or GitLab CI. - Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Skills: - Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter is an advantage. - Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. - Experience working with microservices architecture.
