Automation Test Engineer

Job Description This role focuses on building and maintaining test automation, contributing to test frameworks, and partnering closely with engineering teams to improve overall product quality Education Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) Roles & Responsibilities - Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API-based applications using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and REST frameworks. - Perform black-box and gray-box testing by analyzing requirements and designing effective test cases. - Contribute to and enhance existing test automation frameworks with guidance from senior engineers. - Partner with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to troubleshoot defects and improve product quality. - Debug issues using logs, SQL queries, and system-level investigation techniques. - Participate in CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated tests are integrated and executed reliably. - Track, log, and manage defects using tools such as Jira and test management systems. - Support test data setup, environment configuration, and execution across multiple environments. - Monitor basic quality metrics and contribute to improving test coverage and reliability.
