Design Engineer, LLE Platform Support

Job Description The Product Line LLE team provides engineering support across Offer Engineering, Order Engineering, Product Development Support, and Calculation Tools. We are looking for a motivated Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to product development support activities. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop efficient engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities - Interpret technical specifications and design suitable products/components to define the scope of work. - Prepare engineering drawings using 2D and 3D design tools. - Read and interpret mechanical equipment and structural drawings. - Perform engineering tasks using established procedures and standards. - Create equipment layouts and conduct mechanical and structural calculations to validate designs. - Develop technical and sales solutions based on engineering requirements. - Present and explain design solutions to internal stakeholders and address technical queries. - Support product development initiatives and continuous improvement activities. - Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. - Perform additional tasks as assigned by the reporting manager. The role is based in our office in SP Infocity, Pune – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working. Required Qualifications & Skills Education - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience - 2-3 years of relevant engineering experience Technical Skills - Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals - Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and NX (3D Modeling) - Ability to read and interpret engineering and structural drawings - Experience in mechanical and structural calculations - Knowledge of cranes and material handling equipment will be an added advantage Professional Competencies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good written and verbal communication skills in English - Proactive "can-do" attitude with a solution-oriented mindset - Ability to build trust, collaborate effectively, and drive continuous improvement - Willingness to create and implement new ways of working
