Job Description

Location Maddur, Mandya, Karnataka Purpose of the Role To support the Logistics Manager and the logistics executives/supervisors in effectively managing export and import activities of the company, ensuring timely shipments, accurate documentation, compliance, coordination, and smooth logistics operations. Key Responsibilities · Learn to identify and apply important strategies and business processes related to logistics and exports. · Support the management team with daily operational and administrative tasks. · Understand the daily processes of different departments and coordinate closely with relevant stakeholders. · Provide administrative support to the Logistics function. · Understand and perform assigned duties and responsibilities effectively. · Participate in the company’s strategic planning and execution. · Assist the manager in performance evaluation, report preparation, data analysis, and MIS reporting. · Research and recommend ways to reduce logistics costs and improve profitability. · Prepare presentations and support management meetings and MIS activities. Key Tasks · Suggest improvements in logistics processes and backend support for assigned export activities. · Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, and Warehouse teams to ensure goods are available for shipment on time, including bag loading, factory stuffing, and CFS movement. · Prepare complete documentation for bag export shipments; follow up with the CHA for Shipping Bill (SB) checklist and filing, and coordinate with the freight forwarder for Shipping Instructions (SI) and Form 13 for each container. · Cross-check the Shipping Bill checklist for all bag export shipments and ensure proper SB filing with the appropriate HS code and tariff. Follow up on E-FCR and maintain export registers. · Coordinate export container loading, including 7-point inspection, RFID sealing, photographs, trailer-out formalities, and provide timely updates to the reporting manager and department HOD. · Prepare cost sheets for preferential certificates for export shipments to specific destinations to facilitate applicable duty exemption benefits, and support the concerned team member. · Maintain a register of all vendor bills, submit bills to Finance for accounting and payment processing, and follow up on payment status. Related Behaviors / Skills · Basic knowledge of management execution or a similar field. · Good working knowledge of MS Office and other common computer applications. · Strong verbal and written presentation skills. · Effective communication and computational skills. · Diligence, integrity, and willingness to acknowledge and correct mistakes. Qualification & Functional Skills · Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably Logistics, or a final-year student. · Diploma in Export-Import Management is an added advantage. · Strategic and analytical thinking skills. · Strong ability to identify weaknesses in processes and organizational structures. · Good problem-solving and analytical skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Good presentation skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. · Confidence and ability to contribute to and support organizational change.
