IBM WebSphere Liberty SME

We are looking for an experienced IBM WebSphere Liberty SME to provide technical expertise in designing, configuring, deploying, tuning, and supporting IBM WebSphere Liberty application server environments. The candidate will be responsible for middleware administration, production support, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and application deployments. Key Responsibilities Design, install, configure, and administer IBM WebSphere Liberty environments. Manage Liberty server configurations, server.xml, features, JVM settings, and application deployments. Perform application deployments, upgrades, patches, and environment migrations. Troubleshoot application server, JVM, connectivity, SSL, and deployment-related issues. Monitor application server health, logs, resources, and performance. Perform JVM tuning and WebSphere Liberty performance optimization. Configure and manage SSL/TLS certificates, keystores, truststores, and security settings. Configure authentication and authorization mechanisms including LDAP and enterprise security. Support integration with databases, messaging systems, APIs, and enterprise applications. Analyze logs, thread dumps, heap dumps, and JVM metrics to identify root causes. Implement high availability, clustering, load balancing, and disaster recovery solutions. Automate deployment and administration activities using scripting and DevOps tools. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, security, and DevOps teams. Provide L2/L3 production support and participate in incident, problem, and change management. Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture documents. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Liberty administration and support. Strong knowledge of Java/Jakarta EE application servers and middleware architecture. Experience with Liberty configuration, features, server.xml, JVM settings, and application deployment. Strong knowledge of JVM troubleshooting, tuning, garbage collection, heap/thread dumps. Experience with SSL/TLS, certificates, keystores, and truststores. Good understanding of LDAP and application/server security. Experience with REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, and application connectivity. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills. Experience with Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting. Knowledge of enterprise application deployment and production support processes. Good to Have Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server traditional. Experience with Open Liberty. Knowledge of IBM MQ and messaging technologies. Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and containerized Liberty deployments. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, or GitLab. Experience With AWS, Azure, Or Other Cloud Platforms. Knowledge of monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, or Grafana. IBM WebSphere/Liberty certification is an added advantage. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
