With plenty of exciting twists, turns and opportunities along the way Role: Senior SAP FICO Specialist Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Contract Location: Remote (INDIA) About the Role - The Financial Systems team provides technology expertise to the finance department and is responsible for SAP, HANA, and connected 3rd party systems at the Client. - We want to change the way people work with SAP, by building a finance application platform that supports simplification of business processes, and empowers the finance community with better financial insights. - We run our SAP environment on HANA and in February 2016 we migrated to Simple Finance. - In 2021 we started our financial transformation with S4 HANA implementation. - As a SAP Senior FI, you will be the designer of the solutions for new initiatives, day-to-day SAP optimization, setting up new functionalities, customizing or modifying existing functionalities to transform the as-is processes. - You will utilize your knowledge of SAP FICO and FICA to design solutions which meet business objectives and goals. - You will participate in the development of solution design documents, functional design documents, configurational rationale, testing and deployment. - You will partner with business owners and digital teams to identify opportunities for improvement and offer up appropriate solution designs to meet business objectives. - You will have deep experience with the integration of SAP FICO, FICA Controlling, Payments, Tax. - This role involves extensive daily interaction with functional specialists, developers in all finance and IT departments at the client. - It is essential that you have a strong understanding of finance processes and integration with legacy systems and you have strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills in English. - Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. - You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur. Responsible: - Full ownership of projects and quality of changes, from planning, communication, coordination, compliance aspects, customization and go-live hypercare; - Analytical thinking - Providing scalable and innovative solutions; - Ability to take fast decisions in a very dynamic environment, with some level of uncertainty - Contribute to the identification of opportunities (processes, people) to improve project delivery and/or development methodologies. - Training of key users and key user support.Analyzing issues and changes; - Day to day support and incident resolution Mandatory Experience & Technical Skills - SAP Finance Core & Architectural Setup - Deep Structural Design: Proven hands-on experience in the end-to-end setup of global templates, including Enterprise Structure and Global Organisation set up. - Detailed Configuration: Expert-level mastery in configuring (not limited to): - Organizational Units: Controlling Area, Operating Concern (CO-PA), and Company Code. Chart of Accounts. - Financial Framework: Ledgers, Currencies, Segments, and Fiscal Year/Posting Period variants. - Master Data & Hierarchies: Cost Center/Profit Center Hierarchies, Internal Order Types, and Account Groups. - Fixed Assets: Chart of Depreciation, Depreciation Areas, and Asset Classes. SAP RISE Experience: - Direct Hands-on experience in SAP RISE (Private Cloud Edition), including leading "Explore" phase workshops to define enterprise standards. Should have in-depth knowledge and experience of RISE product offerings. - Specialized Contract Accounting (FICA) / BRIM Project Delivery: - At least one full-cycle implementation (Greenfield or Brownfield) of SAP FICA or BRIM / Convergent Invoicing. - Convergence: Strong understanding of how high-volume billing data flows from digital interfaces into the General Ledger. Advanced Financial Modules & Controlling - Operational Excellence: Deep expertise in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting. - Treasury & Banking: Hands-on configuration of Bank Communication Management (BCM) and specialized Intercompany Accounting processes. - Controlling (CO-PA): Advanced knowledge of Controlling and Profitability Analysis to drive business insights and financial reporting. - Version Versatility: Proficiency in mapping business processes across both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. Integration & Stakeholder Management - System Ecosystems: Excellent knowledge of integrating SAP FI with complex legacy systems and external digital interfaces. - Interface Logic: Solid understanding of data mapping across FI-GL, Business Partners, and payment gateways. - Communication: Fluent English with a proven track record of managing high-level stakeholders and delivering technical presentations to non-technical audiences. Ability to derive decisions and conclude discussions amongstdifferent set of stakeholders.
