LEAD QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER - QUALITY ENGINEERING

We’re Hiring: Lead QA Automation Engineer - Quality Engineering 📍 Location: Trivandrum 💼 Experience: 9–12 Years This is not a traditional QA leadership role. We’re looking for a Lead QA Automation Engineer who thinks like a software engineer and is passionate about building quality into mission-critical banking software from the ground up. In this role, you’ll shape automation architecture, continuous testing, and quality engineering practices for enterprise SaaS platforms operating in complex, regulated environments. 🎯 The Mission Move quality upstream — using engineering, automation, data, and intelligent tooling to prevent defects rather than simply detect them. 🔧 What You’ll Do • Define automation and Quality Engineering strategy for complex enterprise banking solutions • Architect scalable automation frameworks across APIs, backend services, integrations, and E2E workflows • Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines • Lead API, database, event-driven, and integration testing • Establish meaningful engineering metrics around quality, risk, and reliability • Drive intelligent automation and continuous testing • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Customer Enablement • Mentor engineers and conduct technical/code reviews • Improve performance, resilience, scalability, and reliability testing • Evaluate emerging AI-enabled Quality Engineering approaches that deliver measurable outcomes 🧠 What We’re Looking For We’re looking for professionals with 9–12 years of experience in software quality/engineering, with deep automation expertise and a proven track record of building automation frameworks—not simply operating them. Strong experience across: • Selenium / Playwright / Cypress or comparable frameworks • API Automation / REST Assured / Postman • SQL, backend and data validation • CI/CD and continuous testing • Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions • Performance engineering • Kafka and event-driven architectures • Cloud-native applications, ideally Azure / Kubernetes 🏦 Banking & Consulting Experience We are particularly interested in candidates with exposure to banking transformation and financial services technology. Preferred candidates will have: • Experience working within dedicated Banking / Financial Services transformation practices • Relevant implementation, technology consulting, or transformation experience within banking • Experience delivering technology solutions for complex, regulated financial institutions • Strong understanding of banking platforms, enterprise integrations, and transformation programs 💼 Preferred Consulting Background For this technology role, we will prioritize candidates from Big 4 consulting firms, including: Deloitte, EY, PwC, and KPMG We will also consider candidates from other leading consulting firms and large system integrators with strong banking and financial services transformation practices. 🎓 Education • Graduates from Tier-1 or Tier-2 institutions in India • Strong foundation in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related engineering disciplines • Evidence of strong engineering fundamentals and sustained technical performance is preferred 🌟 Preferred Industry Background We’d especially like to hear from engineers with experience in: • Global product companies • Fintech and banking technology organizations • Banking GCC engineering teams • High-growth SaaS companies • Big 4 consulting firms • Leading technology consulting and system integration organizations • Engineering environments such as Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Atlassian, Intuit, Red Hat, Nutanix, and comparable organizations 💡 What Sets This Role Apart The strongest candidates will be software engineers who happen to specialize in quality.
