SAP S/4HANA Finance – FI Consultant Locations: Chennai | Bangalore | Pune | Hyderabad Experience: 10+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Work Mode: On-site / Hybrid as per project requirement About the Role We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance – FI Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and end-to-end finance processes within SAP S/4HANA. The consultant will be responsible for understanding business and finance requirements, designing scalable SAP solutions, configuring financial processes, supporting integrations with other SAP modules, and ensuring successful implementation and optimization of finance processes. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Taxation, Financial Closing, Universal Journal, Fiori applications, and financial reporting , along with strong FI-CO integration experience. Key Responsibilities - Configure, implement, and support end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) solutions. - Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP Finance solutions. - Configure and support: - General Ledger (GL) - Accounts Payable (AP) - Accounts Receivable (AR) - Asset Accounting (AA) - Bank Accounting - Taxation - Financial Closing - Financial Reporting - Work extensively with the S/4HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and related financial processes. - Configure and support New Asset Accounting in SAP S/4HANA. - Support financial closing activities, including period-end and year-end closing processes. - Configure and support tax-related financial processes based on business and statutory requirements. - Work on FI-CO integration and ensure seamless flow of financial and controlling transactions. - Work closely with MM, SD, PP and Treasury teams to ensure integrated business processes. - Support financial reporting requirements and relevant SAP Fiori applications . - Participate in requirement gathering, workshops, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment. - Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP/technical teams for required developments and enhancements. - Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and post-production activities. - Troubleshoot production issues and perform detailed root-cause analysis. - Support data migration, configuration validation, and reconciliation activities where required. - Prepare functional, configuration, and user documentation. - Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation. - Ensure solutions follow SAP S/4HANA Finance best practices and simplification principles . - Work closely with business stakeholders, finance teams, and cross-functional SAP teams. Mandatory Skills & Experience - 10+ years of overall SAP experience with strong hands-on experience in SAP FI . - Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance . - Extensive experience in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Taxation, and Financial Closing . - Strong understanding of the S/4HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA) . - Hands-on experience with New Asset Accounting . - Strong experience in FI-CO integration . - Good understanding of integration with MM, SD and PP . - Experience with financial reporting and period-end/year-end closing processes. - Experience with relevant SAP Fiori applications . - Strong understanding of S/4HANA Finance simplifications and best practices . - Experience preparing functional specifications and working with technical/ABAP teams. - Strong experience in requirement gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support. - Experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, migration, or conversion project . - Experience supporting financial close and statutory reporting processes. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Good to Have - SAP S/4HANA Finance certification. - Experience with SAP Central Finance . - Exposure to SAP Treasury and Cash Management . - Experience with SAP Group Reporting . - Knowledge of SAP Fiori / Embedded Analytics . - Experience with global finance processes and multi-country implementations. - Knowledge of local statutory and taxation requirements. - Experience with SAP Activate methodology . - Experience in global rollouts or large-scale S/4HANA transformation projects.
