Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration

- 8 10 years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server database administration experience. - Sound working knowledge of MSSQL database architecture and internals. - Demonstrable experience managing multiple SQL Server versions in production (2005 through 2016). - Proven experience with Always On high-availability configurations, replication and CDC. - Strong query and server-level performance tuning capability. - Practical experience administering the SQL Server BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS). - Exposure to cloud-hosted SQL Server platforms - Amazon RDS, Microsoft Azure or equivalent. - PowerShell scripting for task automation. - Working knowledge of ITIL / ITSM processes. - Effective written and verbal communication skills, with prior client-facing experience. - Willingness and availability to support a rotational on-call schedule outside business hours.
