QA Automation Engineer

Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation frameworks, API testing, mobile application testing, and database validation, along with excellent analytical and communication skills. Requirements - 2–4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on test automation. - Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar). - Experience in designing and developing automated API tests using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent. - Experience in mobile application testing (Android and/or iOS). - Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing. - Good understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production release. - Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and reusable test scripts. - Develop and execute automated API, web, and mobile application test cases. - Contribute to the timely delivery of high-quality software releases through effective test planning and execution. - Identify, analyze, document, and proactively communicate defects, risks, and quality concerns to stakeholders. - Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test data, execution results, and defect reports. - Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for new features and enhancements. - Track, measure, and report software quality using appropriate metrics and KPIs. - Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Technical Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure product quality. - Continuously improve testing processes, automation coverage, and quality assurance practices. - Identify functional edge cases and perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues beyond standard workflows. Technical Competencies The candidate should have knowledge of or a willingness to develop expertise in: - Functional Testing - UI/UX Testing - API Integration Testing - Regression Testing - Mobile Application Testing - Database Testing - Performance and Scalability Testing - Security Testing - Penetration Testing - Test Automation Framework Design and Maintenance Preferred Qualifications - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. - Experience using test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or Zephyr. - Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. - ISTQB certification is a plus. - Exposure to cloud-based applications and DevOps practices is desirable.
