For more information, please visit http://www.ixigo.com Job Description As a Software Engineer Test, You will be involved in automation testing of our product suite Web App, Mobile Apps, and public REST APIs. This individual will be responsible to work with the Product, QA, and development teams to create/define test planning and strategize various tests to deliver high-quality products. What do you do? Well-versed with Testing/QA concepts with good knowledge of Automation Testing Develop test cases, test plans, automation scripts, and issues reports Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the project development lifecycle Execute test cases (automated) and analyze results Communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, both technical and non-technical. Create logs to document testing phases and defects Report bugs and errors to development teams Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing As necessary, develop QA processes and/or techniques to increase platform efficiencies Concisely document and maintain all QA testing processes Maintain release cycle changes Assist with trouble-shooting production-level issues, behaviors, and potential problems/defects Identify performance and market trends Participate in team planning, story grooming, retrospective, and other scrum ceremonies. Additional information At least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, or Engineering. 5+ years of experience at cutting-edge organizations or startups 5+ years of rigorous work experience in the building automation tests in BE/Web/Apps Extensive experience in Mobile applications testing for native iOS & Android applications Well-versed with Testing/QA concepts with good knowledge of Automation Testing Expertise in automation testing using Selenium Webdriver/Grid Expertise in Test frameworks like Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, etc or similar Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Git, and Jenkins. Strong understanding of any programming language preferably JAVA, Javascript or Python. Hands-on experience with any databases (SQL or mongo or similar) Experience with Performance test tool Jmeter or similar tool Excellent analytical skills, ability to understand Product/Functional spec and create test plan/cases Experience with agile development, debugging, and excellent problem-solving skills. Flexible in working as both individual and a team player Experience with e business/e commerce applications and business environment is a must Any experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be a plus Setup or build automation framework from scratch
