Job Description

Join Adobe as a Member of Technical Staff 2 and contribute to building next-generation AI-powered products and platforms. You will work with experienced engineers, architects, and data scientists to develop intelligent applications, agentic workflows, and scalable backend services that support meaningful customer and engineering experiences. This role provides an opportunity to work on modern AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge systems, and cloud-native platforms at enterprise scale. What You'll Do Build, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications and backend services. Improve LLM-based solutions using techniques such as RAG, Agentic RAG, and enterprise knowledge retrieval. Build APIs, microservices, and workflows to embed capabilities into Adobe products and platforms. Implement agentic workflows and multi-agent systems for business and engineering automation use cases. Build scalable systems by applying distributed data systems and managing resilient systems. Evaluate, monitor, and ensure the reliability and performance of AI systems. Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and contribute ideas that improve engineering efficiency and product capabilities. What You Need to Succeed 3–5 years of experience building software applications, backend services, or distributed systems. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or a similar modern programming language. Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and system architecture principles. Hands-on experience developing applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI frameworks. Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and timely engineering techniques. Solid grasp of database principles, data modeling, indexing, query tuning, and transactional systems. Skilled in SQL and experienced in handling relational and/or NoSQL databases. Understanding of distributed programming concepts, including concurrency, scalability, fault tolerance, and distributed system development. Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and cloud-native application creation. Exposure to event-driven systems, messaging platforms, or streaming technologies. Experience working with data platforms, data pipelines, or extensive data processing systems. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a fast-paced engineering environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with agentic workflows, AI orchestration frameworks, or multi-agent systems. Exposure to knowledge graphs, semantic search, or enterprise knowledge systems. Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, MLOps, or LLMOps practices. Contributions to open-source projects, AI applications, or production AI deployments.
