From our earliest days as a pioneer of modern transportation, we have sought to make the world a better place one that benefits lives, communities and the planet Job Title: Back-end Software Development Engineering Engineer III Location: Chennai Work Type: Hybrid (4 Days work From Office) Position Description: - We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, JavaScript, GraphQL, Confluent Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications while following clean coding, security, architecture, and software engineering best practices. - The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from ideation and design through deployment and production support. - Strong experience with Agile development, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud environments, application performance monitoring, and relational databases is highly valued. Key Responsibilities: - Write high-quality code that satisfies customer needs and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability, in a collaborative team environment. - Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and end users) to understand functional and non-functional requirements. - Investigate and propose business and technical solutions to development and design problems, participating in scope of work estimation and forecasting. - Promote and investigate architecture, design, implementation, and security standards and best practices. - Participate in code reviews or use collaborative programming techniques to promote high quality business outcomes. - Improve performance of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues across multiple skill teams. - Adhere to established development practices and processes. Coach other junior software engineers. Required Skills and qualifications: - Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices - Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Angular for full-stack application development - Experience developing and integrating GraphQL APIs and RESTful services - Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka and event-driven/messaging architectures - Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational database technologies - Experience developing and deploying applications in GCP or other cloud environments - Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, development standards, and security best practices - Experience with application performance monitoring and troubleshooting, preferably using Dynatrace - Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices - Experience working in Agile software development environments - Proven ability to write clean, simple, maintainable, testable, and high-quality code - Experience participating in code reviews, collaborative programming, and technical design discussions - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production and performance issues - Ability to understand application architecture, technology stacks, codebases, and their relationship to business objectives - Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and engineering teams - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple technical teams - Demonstrated willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices - Experience mentoring or coaching junior software engineers - 6+ years of IT experience with 4+ years of software development experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field - Experience in the financial services or automotive domain is preferred Skills Required: - Dynatrace, Microservices, Java Full stack, GraphQL, SPRING, Confluent Kafka, GCP, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, PostgreSQL Skills Preferred: - Agile Software Development, CI/CD Experience Required: - Engineer 3 Exp: Prac. Prac. in 1 lang. - 6+ years in IT; 4+ years in development Experience Preferred: - you will develop and maintain the global applications we use to finance our dealers and customers. - This role is for an experienced full-stack software engineer, who can deliver software using lean agile practices. - You will work on each phase of the software creation (from ideation to deployment) considering the right design patterns for each use case, producing clean code which meets the quality and cyber security standards. - Key deliverables include developing new functionalities and handling technical debt on-going requirements. Education Required: - Bachelor's Degree Additional Information : - Skills and Experience Strong proficiency in several coding languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, etc.). - Experience with application development in cloud environments (e.g., OpenShift, GCP, Azure, etc.) - Deep understanding of DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices Experience with agile development methodologies. - Experience with relational databases (e.g., DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). - Strong ability to understand and collaborate working with application designs, technology stacks, context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives. - Ability to work both independently and collaborating with multiple teams. - Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Advocate to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks. - Spring Boot and Angular Background in financial or automotive sector preferred.
