Job Details Position Title: Lead Software Test Engineer Career Level: P3 Job Category: Manager Role Type: Hybrid Job Location: Bangalore About the Team: The Community Association Banking Technology is a Specialized Business Line Focused on Supporting Property Management Companies, Homeowners Associations, Commercial Property Managers, and Apartment Complex Managers. Servicing 1350+ Property Management Companies, Over 40,000+ HOA’s , 250 HOA’s managed directly by FCB. The Community Association Banking Technology team is growing and seeking a Lead Software Test Engineer to join us.. Impact Responsible for technical and operational leadership encompassing both Quality assurance engineers. The role demands advanced expertise in enterprise-scale application Testing. Core accountabilities include translating business and Functional requirements into actionable assignments, maintaining high standards of engineering excellence, and ensuring production support coverage during US off-hours. The position requires hands-on leadership in system Testing & User acceptance Test, technical troubleshooting, as well as direct collaboration with US-based leads for resource planning and delivery management. A proven record in leading distributed teams, driving continuous improvement, and upholding operational stability in complex environments is essential. Key Deliverables - Act as the primary point of contact for the QA team based out of India. - Ensure timely updates are gathered from offshore resources regarding test progress, issues, and dependencies. - Provide regular status updates to onshore QA Leads. - Escalate blockers, critical defects, or any risks that may impact project timelines or quality. - Track and manage defects raised during testing cycles (SIT, QA, UAT). - Ensure defects are triaged, prioritized before communicating with Onshore QA Leads - Collaboration tools such as ADO dashboards, scrum board should be maintained up to date to provide transparency into test status and defect lifecycle. - Test Progress Tracking and Reporting: - Maintain test progress dashboards, metrics, and daily/weekly QA reports. - Ensure test coverage and test completion meet the quality gates defined for the project. - Highlight any gaps or risks in testing to ensure timely mitigation. - Knowledge Transfer and Support: - Ensure QA team has clarity on business scenarios and requirements. - Provide clarifications or arrange walkthroughs from functional teams as needed. - The QA LEAD should ensure all communication channels (e.g., Teams, ADO, email) are actively used and monitored. - QA LEAD should proactively plan handoffs and coverage during holidays or unavailability of team members. Skills and Qualification Minimum 8 years of software testing experience with modern full-stack platforms (.Net Core/Java, relational/document databases, and React/Vue/Angular Proficiency in testing methodologies and tools. Experience writing and executing test cases for Pega applications. Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG) Knowledge of performance testing tools and CI/CD pipelines Scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl) and debugging/troubleshooting experience Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement testing strategies for Pega applications, including functional, regression, and performance testing Test Design & Execution: Create and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts; perform manual and automated testing Defect Management: Identify, document, log, and track bugs/defects; provide feedback to developers for resolution Analyze system specifications and user requirements to ensure alignment with Pega application design Work closely with developers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and improve testability Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing to validate fixes and ensure stability Continuously refine testing methodologies and quality assurance protocols Provide status updates and reports to stakeholders on testing progress and quality metrics At least 3 years in a QA lead or team lead capacity, with direct oversight of distributed teams In-depth knowledge of modern software Test architecture patterns, QA best practices, and principles, with a proven ability to apply these concepts to large-scale, maintainable enterprise systems Functional Skills: - Finance domain (good to have) - Great Communication Skill Verbal & Written - Documentation skills - Agile/Scrum delivery.
