QA Engineer Lead (Account/Team handle)

Lead QA Engineer Location : Surat / Remote Experience : 8+ Years Salary Range : ₹12–20 LPA Notice Period : Immediate joiners preferred Overview We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer who will own the QA strategy and quality outcomes across our accounts. In this role, you will define and manage the QA process for various projects, lead QA Proof of Concepts (POCs), mentor QA Engineers, and act as the primary quality leader within your project and team. You will operate independently, without the need for close guidance. Core Responsibilities - QA Strategy Ownership : Define and own the QA strategy for projects, ensuring quality outcomes and continuous improvement. - Process Definition : Establish and manage QA processes at both project and organizational levels. - Team Leadership : Mentor and guide QA Engineers, providing structured feedback and supporting their career development. - Hands-on Testing : Conduct hands-on non-functional testing, including load, performance, and security testing. - Technical Direction : Set technical direction for CI/CD integration and ensure best practices are followed. - Stakeholder Engagement : Communicate effectively with engineering leads, project managers, and clients, tailoring your communication to different audiences to achieve desired outcomes. - Quality Assurance : Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies throughout the project lifecycle. Core Skills - Experience : 8+ years of QA experience with proven leadership in QA and account/team ownership. - Testing Tools : Advanced proficiency in Playwright (web) and Appium + WebdriverIO (mobile) using JavaScript/Node.js and BDD. - Non-Functional Testing : Hands-on experience with load, performance, and security testing. - CI/CD Integration : Strong experience in CI/CD processes and the ability to set technical direction. - Communication Skills : Strong stakeholder communication skills, comfortable engaging with various audiences to drive outcomes. - Agile Methodologies : Deep understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile delivery processes. - Mentorship : Proven experience mentoring and developing QA Engineers. Preferred Skills - AI-driven QA Tooling : Experience introducing AI-driven QA tools and measuring their impact. - Security Testing Tools : Hands-on experience with security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp) and performance testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter). - Consulting Environment : Background in client-facing or consulting delivery environments. - Database Testing : Exposure to database testing and automation at scale. - Industry Representation : Experience representing QA capabilities in client-facing or external industry forums.
