FP&A Specialist - Budget Planning

Position: FP&A Expert Type: Contract Compensation: $85–$100/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities - Build bottoms-up annual budgets and multi-year long-range plans with consolidation and approval paths. - Produce rolling reforecasts of P&L , cash flow, and KPIs reflecting actuals and updated drivers. - Develop headcount and capital expenditure plans with hiring pacing, project approvals, payback, and prioritization. - Create monthly management reporting packs with variance commentary and product, customer, or segment profitability analysis using cost allocation methodology. - Forecast revenue from bookings, pipeline coverage, and demand signals while documenting model drivers and assumptions. - Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve financial planning processes. Qualifications Must-Have - 4+ years in FP&A at an operating company, owning a plan or a reforecast cycle. - Advanced Excel modeling skills and the judgment to explain a variance, not just calculate it. Preferred - Experience in finance business partnering or commercial finance. - Familiarity with planning systems such as Anaplan , Adaptive , or Pigment .
