Lead Engineer - Bridges SYSTRA India, a global leader in consulting and engineering for public transport infrastructure, is looking for an experienced Lead Engineer - Bridges to join their team. This role is open in Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata . SYSTRA's India Regional Technical Centre (CTR) plays a crucial role in delivering major international projects across the SYSTRA Group, with expertise in design for High-Speed Rail, Metro, Conventional Rail, Bridges, Highways, and more, adhering to various international codes. The CTR team has successfully delivered significant projects in the UK, UAE, Tanzania, KSA, Australia, Canada, and Denmark, including the design of major sublots for the HS2 project in the UK. Key Responsibilities As a Lead Engineer for Bridges, you will: - Take responsibility for Rail bridge design, Viaduct & Structure design , specifically with experience designing steel bridges and complex bridges . - Assist in the overall project management from conception to development and project completion. - Be responsible for managing engineers of different ranks , liaising with sub-agencies, and building relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and contractors. - Coordinate work between different disciplines . - Prepare reports and calculations in line with International Codes of Practice (AREMA, AASTHO, EURO, BS). - Plan and deliver bridge surveys and inspections , including recording all relevant information. - Perform bridge assessment calculations and reports . - Manage project delivery , taking responsibility for budget and resource deployment on projects, and ensuring delivery to agreed budgets. - Prepare estimates for work items and identify scope change items. - Possess knowledge of working on big multidisciplinary projects on BIM . - Prepare contractual claims arising out of any change in the contract conditions. - Manage resources at a project level to ensure utilization and productivity are maintained. - Ensure compliance with SYSTRA Group policies, particularly on ethics, safety, and adherence to company ISO standards. Required Profile & Skills - Education: B.E. - Civil + M.Tech in Structural Engineering. - Job Experience: 10 to 13 years of experience in the relevant field. - Software Proficiency: Experience with software like Sofistik, Midas, Open Bridge, and Oasys . - Actively working towards a professional qualification . - Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary design team . - Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and provide support and mentoring to others . - Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required.
