Mobile Automation Tester

Job Title: Mobile Automation Tester Experience: 1+ Years Location: Chennai Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a motivated **Mobile Automation Tester with 1+ years of experience in mobile application testing and automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automating Android and/or iOS applications using Appium or similar automation tools, along with a good understanding of software testing principles and Agile methodologies. Roles & Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for Android and iOS mobile applications. - Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing. - Identify, log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Zoho. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and resolve issues. - Analyze test results and prepare detailed test reports. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings. - Maintain automation frameworks and improve test coverage. - Execute API testing using tools like Postman (preferred). - Validate application performance across different devices and OS versions. - Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the software development lifecycle. Required Skills - 1+ years of experience in Mobile Automation Testing. - Hands-on experience with Appium or Katalon Studio. - Knowledge of Java (preferred) or any object-oriented programming language. - Experience with Selenium WebDriver is an added advantage. - Familiarity with TestNG or JUnit. - Experience with Maven or Gradle. - Knowledge of Git or other version control systems. - Understanding of Page Object Model (POM) and automation framework design. - Experience in Android application testing; iOS testing knowledge is an advantage. - Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle. - Basic SQL knowledge for database validation. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology. Preferred Skills - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions. - Knowledge of API Automation using Rest Assured. - Basic understanding of performance testing tools is a plus.
