Sas Administrator

We are seeking an experienced SAS Administrator to join our HSBC GDT Team. As a SAS Admin, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our SAS platform. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the SAS environment is optimized for performance, reliability, and security. Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain SAS software and related products. - Monitor SAS servers, services, and jobs to ensure optimal performance and availability. - Implement and maintain security measures and access controls for SAS environments. - Manage SAS metadata including users, groups, roles, and permissions. - Troubleshoot SAS platform issues and provide timely resolution. - Plan and execute SAS software upgrades and patches. - Collaborate with SAS developers, analysts, and users to deploy applications and solutions. - Develop and maintain documentation related to SAS configurations, processes, and procedures. - Provide technical support and training to SAS users as needed. - Stay current with SAS technologies, updates, and best practices. Requirements: - Proven experience as a SAS Administrator or in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of SAS architecture and components. - Experience with SAS Management Console, SAS Metadata Server, and SAS Grid Computing. - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell scripting, Python) for automation tasks. - Familiarity with database management systems (DBMS) and SQL. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Real time experience in SAS with Linux (Must) - SAS Certified Platform Administrator for SAS 9 or SAS Viya. - Experience with SAS Viya architecture and administration. - Knowledge of SAS security practices and standards. - Familiarity with SAS integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory). - Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SAS applications.
